| yes paul i know what your saying but if i do not win i want to be close , so i know that i have tried. if i,m miles behind i have,nt tried hard enough.my birds get the best of everything so when they are crap its them most of the time not me they are just not good birds if to far behind , so they must go . you just know or you should do if they are no good . some people just do,nt try and blame thier birds which is terrible in my eyes because you are not giving them a fair chance are you |

| i can,t see my self ever getting rid of my birds ive had them all my life and im 44 now so that,s a long time when i raced in yorks i was alway in the bottom half of the sheet on natural turned to w/hood and ended up in the top half of the sheet . but what i do to my birds is all natural to me morning noon and night they get looked after and there not in my back garden but down the road on some land i rent , you only get out what you put in ok i don,t win out of turn cos i only fly in the NFC but i always aim for the top ten in the section and it,s very hard and getting harder every year since 2004 ive manged it 3 times with some lower position further down the section but if they don,t perform and come late so what there,s always another race to try . i wish more people would try national racing in stead of just sticking to club racing it,s more exciting give it ago and see what happens . |

i agree with you there ray, too many fanciers blame their birds if they are not winning instead of looking at their own efforts......i always remember a saying when i was younger and just started in the building trade......."a poor workman always blames his tools" meaning if the job goes wrong or its not upto standard, the worker will say oh its my hamer or oh its my trawel......its not working right, |
