Looks like 40 for me. Young birds. Bred of stock (retired racers) plus a few yearlings that just seem to shine. Nothing off the 2 year old plus racers. They will be culls unless I get an exceptional one. But for this season upcoming, 60 I can fly. Have to crunch the numbers as stated. All go every week, all being equal healthwise etc,.

We are hoping to have at least 80 or 90 young birds to race this year.

I bought 100 rings from the RPRA, 60 National Flying Club rings and 20 BICC rings so we have plenty of rings.

We will only be racing young birds this year as we have no old race birds, so I can concentrate fully on young bird racing.

I trust our breeding is going well now.

15 cocks 15 hens raced on roundabout will have aprox 30 youngsters but after this morning that total might not  make it, this morning not only hit once by BOP but 4 times youngsters are still making their way back in ones , the lads at burtonwood say they are getting hit everyday
