Pedigrees important? Empty
PostSubject: Pedigrees important?   Pedigrees important? EmptyWed Apr 18, 2018 1:30 am

I usually do not keep them as such. Have the peds from the original birds., Red Jannsens. However today I was looking through a few old note books. How birds performed as young and old. Then why I stocked some. Performance. So. Did a survey of what was from what. 3 pairs plus their parents are the most dominate. Breeders. So did a what bred what write up. Unless something outstanding happens the young and yearlings from these pairs are the ones kept. If they survive the races. For young birds longest is about 318. For old about 420 miles. Would rather go lomger but I do not make the rules. Cut down year and all will be flown to whatever race whatever weather. Health not a problem. Seldom is. Interesting year coming up. Usual strikes against me by other fanciers. I assume. No sterile loft. No widowhood system. No dark system. No regimented feed system. No medications. No vaccinations. Flying against Sprint fliers from Europe. Looking forward to it!!!!

Wish you all the best their Hal Smile Smile what ever may happen etc on the racing side as such this year. I suggest thou, more people have been disappointed on average when they get a long pedigree with a certain bird & then race its off spring than those that breed by the performance factor in their loft as such & leave the pedigree paper issue Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes for use in the out house type of thing Smile Smile. cheers
