Yep, have adapted and done in their on time. Leave as they are. Be ok next season. I wouldn't bother with any chucks. Won't / don't need any. They will learn all they will ever need to know. Leave them be. they will get contented doing as they like, and fit. Let them pick around the loft and garden. Leave them to fly up and down, roof top to roof top... will get so very fit. … chain the dog up indoors or so lol.

They got a bit confidence now David, couple of chucks and a race learnt them they had to use their wings properly. I don't think they had the "get up and go" earlier as they sat about taking life easy for too long. Just my take on it mate. Get them out for a fly, plenty baths and moulted out and you'll have some racers for next year, best of luck with them.

Mine are doing the same now David, but, I’ve split the cocks from the hens, maybe it’s this that’s doing it because as soon as they hit the loft the cocks are going mental, chasing the hens and stopping them trapping, so presume when they’re in the air the cocks are driving them down, will put cocks back in on basketing day, but at the minute they’re flying really well, Epsom this week, 162 miles, breeder buyer and still got 1 left, most members have lost theirs

I often think that the logic is by passed for a reason one would like it to be. Observation OVERLOOKED in preference to a suit a reason. Indeed, even, often if the plain truth is staring them in the eye!
