Let them out sat morning weather permitting so they can have a bath, dont force them to fly, if they want to stretch their wings they can but i dont force them to, once bathed in till next sat Ken

Race team fly if they want weather permitting. Bath twice a week. Stock stay in and get bath twice a week. I would love a aviary for the stock birds, but cant because of neighbour.

Must say you may need a lot of time if you have a lot of pigeons

like i said this is the first time ive kept them in, but i think some of them are wanting to go out for a fly as they are flapping their wings as tho they want to be off......trying to give slightly less on the grub sos not to put weight onto them with no exercise. like you amanda im wanting to build an aviery but just dont seem to have time a the moment, it would be great for the stock birds....they would love it.

Time is one thing i have plenty of Energy is something else My set up is small and as i clean out every day things dont take to long. Don when you say you bath them by hand, Can i ask why The only time ive put them in water is when i have put Chorlocarb in there to get rid of the nasties. Amanda |

think i be keeping mine in for a bit as from now. today i see a sparrow hawk swoop my lofts 3 times the pigeons went mad inside. think that the hawk thought that if it swooped the loft the pigeons would flyout and could get one.lucky for me and my birds the doors were clossed.

I bath them by hand because if you get some young cocks fighting round the bath they can damage the new feathers then the season is over before it has started

After the bath which is warm this helps keep the pigeons calm when in the loft

But as we all know when growing new feathersthe pigeons are sore so they are best kept in the loft
