| I know it is selfish and I make no apology for.
If I had my way all pubs would be turned into resteraunts and alchohol free.

| On reflection David, gluttony is nearly as bad as drunkeness and can be as bad regarding health.
One mans meat etc;
Maybe all things in moderation a better option.

| No winners in this situation Knackered all working in the dark.
Down one day up the next.
Easy to complain, see them at it every day on the television decrying the efforts being put in, in an to attempt to deal with the matter, more political capital being attempted rather than offer constructive alternatives.
The biggest problem is people not being prepared to adhere to the rules.
You cannot judge the means if half are ingnoring the rules.
What makes me laugh ( not the word realy applicable) is to see gangs of young people going to school and college holding hands and larcking about in gangs and then being forced to keep a distance whilst at school or college.
Think the only way for a long term reduction and control will be when we have a successful vacine.
Regards. |

| Same here oldstrain, Grade Three.
Our nursing homes are getting a rattling.
Personally fed up as most are with the whole set up.
Used to go dancing three times a week, no better exersise, played bowls many evenings, and snooker 3 hours every Monday, for the past 25 years in most cases.
Met our friends on many occasions every.week.
Since February been almost house bound, just take Misty out morning and night and keep away from other people.
We do go for a drive but do not get out of the car, (not exercise) just to stop goimg mad.
You can keep in touch with friends but it is not the same as being with them and many of ours are in the not recently retired catogary.
Can be pleased in not being subject to the virus but a hard price to pay.
Just hope the vacine proves the reakl Mc Coy.
If it was not for being able to bemuse, confuse and irritate you lot on here I would already be in the NUT HOUSE.
Regards. |

| Bit of GOOD NEWS, been on tender hooks for a few weeks on another matter.
Had to have an eye test to renew my driving licence.
Lost sight in left eye due to bungled operation, got glucoma in the other eye.
At test, wearing mask, glasses misted up, uncomfortable when taking test, had it all worked out how to appeal but received new licence for three years.
Had I any doubt about my sight for driving I would not drive, but it would change our lives completely.
So at least I have something to celebrate.
Regards. |

Regards. Glad it all went well for you Misty with your license issue etc there. Dread the day down here also when I can no longer drive safely & then I hand it in. Even today I'm reluctant to drive anywhere at night & it was actually one of the main reasons I finely decided to pull up stumps on the racing side with the birds here. & take care. |

| Thanks Knackered, same regarding driving in the dark, can only just cope with the idiots who keep their head lights on full, so avoid night driving.
Hope you can keep able for a long time to come.
Regards. |

| I agree Knackered about the uninsured and uncaring drivers.
The problem is that there is no deterant, many are drugies, alchoholics and just plain criminals.
They have not a care in the world, if fined they cannot pay, no room in the jails, you crush their cars and they steal another one.
Time we had work off fines and hard labour camps, no cushy jails, an eye for an eye, would work better than making crime a decent living means.
But then most of our representative would probably be doing hard labour.
