hens tightening up

Always think a lot of hens look their best sitting around 10-12 days, these starting to tighten up all sitting @10 days now:

Nowt wrong with them barnie.

If they fly  half as good as they look you are home and dry.

May not agree with you all the time barnie, would be a waste of time if I did.

But the condition is a credit to you and hope they repay you.

They're pretty much mongrels these 3 hens Mark.

Bit of Van Reet, Rauw Sablon, Leo Heremans, Koopmans, just good birds paired together then inbred back together again in some instances. They had a year being spoilt, just trained last year but going on the road once racing gets go-ahead, see what they're made of.

Looking great, loft could do with a clean though.

That's just a new shelf and bobs been fitted darren, not been christened with s*** at the time, looks different today

I agree cannot have all that bloom     building up on the walls there etc Boosey neighbours will be dobbing Barnie into the council I suggest .

Strangely the council van was hovering about yesterday afternoon, maybe just looking for somewhere quiet to skive though

Plenty of that but no takers Darren, I do mix some into the borders now and again before stuff starts to grow.

they cry out for it here colin lots of localallotments gardeners say pigeon manure is of the best but of course i dont give it when cankering the birds which of course will be very rarely now

i asked some locals on allotments a few years ago, they looked at me as tho i had two heads, "pigeon sh*t one said .....? oh no, i use mushroom compost"

i gave him a couple of words and walked off ...........

maybe thinking back to the outside dunny type days are we etc O/S & how it was spread around type of thing at times to just help make things grow by certain folk       .

more like the gardening chores oz cutting grass,hedges,digging and weeding borders all came to an abrupt halt though when i had an accident with the flymo

 Ok So I take it etc O/S, no flymo there now for the little when his on gardening duties .

Nice the birds at this time of the year. Got a few spares at present and they look good I.m afraid
