| [quote="David"]the birds have seen me through some hard times over the years, sometimes i think ive had enough and im getting rid, but life would be boring without them.
Would never have parted with my feathered friends were it not for health reasons.
Feeling down in the dumps and a visit to the loft lifted spirits and brought matters more into perspective.
Just as important in my case was genuine human friends, not the fair weather kind.
Son and son in law been tidying up the garden and pigeon loft etc;
Said to my wife very tempted to get half a dozen gay pieds from friends but age is not on my side and would not like my wife to have to deal with them.
Could write half a dozen books on the pleasure I have had from animal friends both feathered and otherwise.
Also the heartaches that go with them.
Unfortunately thats life.
Regards. |

Regards. i often think misty, i have an 18 year old pigeon, he was 3 years old when i bought him in 2008 when i restarted, i often think that while he has been with me i have lost my mam, sister, two dogs and numerous other family and friends .....having to tend to them every day helped , simply because it was my responsibility . |

Just hope barnie and peel bros have good returns, too early in the season to start having bad races. Can spoil whole season. Regards. |

| Must be soul destroying for the fancies, but good luck to them, they are at least attempting to keep things afloat.
Too many small clubs now but often too far apart to amalgamate.
SAD.

| Could make things better by just counting the first four entries, not registering the others.
Send as many as you want but only those four count.

| Will be interesting to read the race results in the BHW this week, will give a good indication regarding clubs and the overall position.
Still cannot understand why the RPRA do not say how many actual fanciers are members.

Sign of the times George, idiots around every corner. No deterrent, police apparently as corrupt as the rest of society. Soon be safer in prison than outside. The WOKE lot are a very small minority but causing untold damage to society as a whole through apathy of those who could do something about it but are content with their lot. We are supposed to be ruled by the wishes of the majority in a democratic society. But little bunches of idiots with nothing better to do are being allowed to call the tune. Best bet George make the best of what is left before there is nothing left. . Enjoyed the snooker and horse racing George, one of my best mates was a bookie, and I used to have 10p bets in doubles and trebles etc just about broke even, played snooker for 3 hours every week with another mate, only missed a couple of weeks in 24 years, only stopped because of the covid and now Ron who is 90 is not as fit as he used to be and his wife is also not in the best of health. Just glad I was born at a time that gave me a wonderful life in the best ever times on earth, in my opinion, ups and downs we all suffer, but can see no future if the future depended on humans. | Looking forward to Sullivan playing next George, apparently his next apponent does not love him too much and is seeking God's help for revenge for past events.
Should be interesting.
Still fiddling involved, money spoils everything.
