| yes george 1,500 is a lot of birds to manage, but i dare say they will do what they always do every year and reduce numbers by half before the first hot spot ........
with things as they are i reckon the entry fee will go up for 2023 |

| ive never heard of it george, ive noticed for a while they have been advertising places still available ........i think people have finally got wise to the rpra one loft and how the returns are poor, plus the management/training and losses even before the first hotspot dont instill much confidence . |

| Hi All,
I'm new to the sport and just starting out, How does this One loft race work? Do you basically breed a young bird and enter it for the race and they train and race it on your behalf?

That is how the OLs work but is not how grass root fanciers get their kicks.
The biggest kick is breeding your own pigeons and racing them win draw or lose and most fanciers get their kicks irrespective of any wins.
OL races are like getting married and the best man spends the first night with the bride.
Best bet keep things simple.
Plenty of help available from existing fanciers.
Regards.

Cannot understand fanciers not demanding up to date information many could already have lost their entries, surely it does not take the manager very long to know how many are left and which ones are missing. As for training they never seem to learn from year to year. Regards. |

Think they have to be members of the RPRA George and if only members to enter the OLs it makes the RPRA membership more ill than thought and it is bad enough already. Regards. |

Have no idea George about other OL races I was talking about the RPRA one. Cannot see the RPRA having any control over a OL anyone decides to hold themselves. Could formulate any rules they wanted. Regards.. |
