i had 2 jobs one full time 4ohrs  one 20hrs a week for 20years  paid extra tax and insurance  get no extra pension

Fortunately now employers have to offer a work based pension by law, unfortunately you and a lot of others missed out George.

Whether or not it will be worth much on retirement is a different matter but at the moment myself, employer and the government all put into my pension pot. And it will be taxed if above the threshold. Few years to still have to set the alarm clock every night

get 3 small pensions from jobs  total £90 a month have private pension when it come to taking it i did not need the money so said i will have it once a year and you can't change it £2000 it's a  nice day on July 29th 

journey to the corn shop this morning, will buy the centenary breeding mix again, ybs have done well on it ....

The RPRA Membership in the 60s was well into the thousands, it is now less than 10,000 according to the subs.

How many of those actually compete is anyone's guess.

got 4 bags of bamfords centenary breeding mix again, corn man said a lot of fanciers are buying it and say its good stuff.....he also said it was a new mix by bamfords this season .

one bag of mine has maize in it that i got to-day

you dont feed maize do you george ...?

no but he only had one of no maize can't buy a lot as i would be taking it away from club members i'm not a member

youll be able to mix it in with other corn wont you george....

got 4 birds in another loft was going to feed it to them don't like changing corn

had one yb slip the ring found it in the nestbowl    just been asked do i sell ybs on another site so ybs must look ok not sure what to say

Just pointed out on another post George if you do not decide what to do you will have a loft full of untried pigeons.

Get them sold and have some fun, preferably by someone who will keep you informed of their progress.

sadly thats it with a lot of pigeon fanciers, they only seem to value a pigeon if they buy it, free birds tend not to be valued as much .........

yes misty and the left leg  used a feather to pull the toe back set it down and a cock picked it up and took it to it;s nest they have loads of straw

Often use the feather trick here etc George one of those cheap/easy & simple solutions to solve an issue. That being said one of the cruellest things I ever saw on basket night here, back when. Was when I put a bird through on basket night from a local so called celebrity type in a pigeon sense & it had it's back toe still embedded inside the ring as such. Talk about one being cruel/lazy & a bit of a half whit type    .

Heard all those type scenarios George toes/bums spin the bottle type thing dart board Reminds me of old Mr Eyesign (Fleming) sadly, a tragic case from my perspective, who claimed he could tell the best birds in the nest by their eye sign factor etc with a 100 % accuracy outcome .
