How’s the breeding going

yb to ring to-day seem a bit small yesterday

Looks like being 2 x £120 David.

Far better than the prospects looked earlier.

Obvious more than one fancier was interested so looks good for the next lots.

Have to start thinking how to invest the money.

yes misty, fair bit of interest, they do usually make more but i suppose with racing uncertain at the moment buyers are wary of bidding, plus with many people struggling for money they might not have much spare money available .

whatever they make im happy with, i dont really doit for the money, it will pay for some corn plus i may get feedback if they race well , or if they race crap .

was shocked to see 2 ybs in a nest on the floor must check another nest just checked the other nest and there was a yb ready for ringing no egg shell on the floor

You certainly live a very interesting pigeon life George.

But all your pigeons are in very good nick.

Know you will have grit available George but perhaps one wanted a change and had the shell.

Still think you should get them raced George a shame if you do not.

think the shell is buried in the floor bedding misty

this was the pair hatched this morning  on the floor you can hardly make  them out

Perfect little start to the world somehow I suggest George I would say here. Best maybe thou to just keep quite etc what may just perhaps be coming type of thing when they finely leave the nest there .

Suspect somehow mum & dad there George        wouldnt be all that happy etc .

Think our feathered friends have different ideas as to the best place to nest and not always in agreement with fanciers ideas.

I agree Misty     have one hen here I'm   who will be the death of me etc choose any box/spot & where does she lay every time on the floor in the deep litter behind the door to her section out of sight till I open it & then somehow hear the sound of the broken egg scenario there once again.

if i were to move 2 day old ybs from the nest on the floor into a nestbowl would there be a problem thinking  of the  cold weather on them

Personaly would not risk it.

Parents know it's cold and what to do in the circumstances.

thanks misty will leave them do have ply over the floor boards and bedding

nearly caught out to-day ybs hatched Monday one had to get washing up liquid 

have paid my deposit for 2 ybs i Cottsworld olr at the moment these are the 2 ybs going

few single read ybs may move them into one nest

another single read yb
