i just let them waffle for as long as they want then say at the crux "no thanks" works great as they get irate but need to keep a lid on it just in case the best ones are when someone from india calls and says "hi my name is charles" yeah right oh then charles i will just get me cheque book

Got a phone call from a lady either from Mars or China.

Saying my Sky renewal was due and we could do it over the phone.

Had already got a e mail from SKY saying they though someone was mucking about with my account and shut it down..

Charming lady could almost speak English.

Kept her talking for while and then said could she hold on there was someone at the door.

Just left the phone on have no idea how long she held on.

Rightly so Misty your peed off type thing   Customer service means nothing now for the most part & the worlds gone absolutely crazy beyond redemption I'm Certain banks here now not dealing in cash money when required by their customers etc & our health issurance mob here for my Joyce, who she has been with for 40 odd years will now not accept bank cheques or cash as payment for her yearly health insurance. End of the day     the government down here couldn't give a rats about normal folk & their general everyday issues with surviving & are just totally besotted completely by the Voice fiasco unfolding down here tragically with our local black fella mob as such.

Mine had grown quick with all the rain George, must have been 9 inch in some parts, petrol mower made easy work of it thankfully....

Finely   lost the fight down here George I'm in the weed department etc hurts but now one of those payed help type things for me now, regrettably.

a remedy for your weed situation knackered,

2 cups of concentrated white vinegar

1 cup of salt

1 table spoon of washing up liquid

put it in a spray bottle or a pressure spray, shake it up and spray the weeds, amazing results ......

front finished now i'm knackered

Friend two doors down who has cut our hedges and grass for more years than I care to mention has recently had a operation for blood clot and just recovering,

His wife has just fallen down the stairs a couple of days ago and broke both ankles and an arm and is in hull hospital

So far more important things than the lawn to worry about.

it's difficult misty at 78 i can't do jobs like before was working up to 76

I was lucky George, for most of my life had a job I enjoyed, retired on garden leave at 64.

Now 88 the same age as my wife, who is 7 months older.

Both active dancing several times week until my wife fell and broke her hip and arm 12 months ago, the hospital gave her a new hip the morning after the fall and could not have been better.

Went bowling and to shows etc; regulary and out for meals with friends etc;

Believe me at 88 the last thing you need at 88 is that.

and last thing you would want is a Hemorrhage of the brain and in a wheelchair at 10 years old it has now started to affect my mental health with a Doctor here yesterday and nurse on Friday

Terrible experience George.

One is at a loss as to what to say.

But if it was me I would spend as little time as possible on my own.

Best bet, have arrangement with Morgan to do something you both enjoy every week, gives you something to look forward to.

Make a goal some time ahead.

Believe me I know the feeling of depression George after the past 12 months.

Completely life changer, cannot do many of the things we took for granted.

House bound for 8 months.

Still get depressed.

We do get out three times a week for a meal and go to the dances but it just makes matters worse when we cannot join in.

Just returned from taking my wife for a shuffle, cannot walk properly.

With the possibility of still being alive in the Winter I am thinking of going to one of the charity events held for those who are in the same boat for a cup of tea and a natter to see what is involved.

Perhaps there are the same in your area George.

Know I would be devastated if I lost my licence, although we have two bus services within a reasonable walking distance if you are fit, but not like being able to go where you want when you want.
