Couldn' agree more certainly what they deserve I suggest David when one maybe considers they apparently haven't a clue it appears, where 17,000 odd asylum seekers are in your community there now. Here we have now 150 odd, same/same & that's bad enough down here I'm thou by all accounts 3 have just been arrested again apparently after molesting the locals again type thing.

been drilling and fitting a window blind up today, drilled into the window surrounds and its hollow, cant even double plug it theres nothing there ....... always problems

plan is to fill the holes with fast drying floor tile adhesive then push the wall plug in before it sets

these are pure magic for hollow walls David......

Screwfix wall anchors

yes ie seen these colin, but they are for hollow stud walls/ plaster board walls ...... these here are solid brick but above the window the thickness of the plaster is thicker than the length of the wall plug, if i could get a 3" wall plug i`d be ok

in days gone by i would just hammer a piece of wood in the hole, but theres just nothing there, i`ll have to revert to my old bodging ways i think

these are also great for fixing straight to brick without plugs...

masonary fixings

all you need is a pilot hole to the screw depth plus a bit . and bit fairy liquid on the threads, plenty of different lengths and diameters available. my gallows brackets holding whats left of the chimney after pulling out fireplace are fixed with these

good idea colin, ive used these type when i fitted a upvc door , forgot about them ........... theres a tool station just down the road i might have a trip down in the morning ...thanks colin .
