Yep thats the plan with them A few of the ybs we were given we are training at the moment, just so we can have a few practice tosses, maybe something will come of them. The two clubs I have been to round here, Kempston and Raunds club have really friendly members, we went along the last few Fridays before the end of the season, and were offered birds to start us up, so when the season starts, there will be more ybs to add to the team really thankful to them. |

| excellent, you want to accept their help because in some clubs members arnt so friendly/helpful..........and also dont do as i did this season and be afraid to send them racing for fear of loosing them, i only trained 35 miles 12 times and raced twice from 56 miles.....so that left me very over crowded and having to get rid of 12 old birds. |

Yeah, I am scared i'm going to loose some of them, but want to race them at the same time When you first start putting them outside the loft in a pen for them to see around, how long do you do that for? |

| i usually wean approx 28 days alex and try to get them out on the platform to have a look around as soon as possible, with yours being new to the loft you will need them to have a good look around to get used to their surrounds so as they are in a pen they should be getting their bearings ok but be very careful as the older they get the stronger on the wing they will become.............. |

Thanks Kev I'm sure we will speak alot more on here, as I'm here longer. I had heard if they are hungry theres no messing about, they are straight in the loft, ready for their food. I'm in the loft with them for a long time with them each day, and theyve gone from being wary (as they are expected to be) to now, I cant move them away from the door to let me out theyre that friendly, and 15 of them i have only had for a week |

| YOUVE GOT THE RIGHT IDEA ALEX, IVE FOUND THAT WHEN YOU WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING YOU WILL GET MAYBE HALF A DOZEN DIFFERENT (sorry...lol) opinions from different fanciers, all which is right for them and their birds, but you just need to take it in and decide for yourself which is the best way for you......... |

| i made the mistake of listening to everyone and trying all the different things at first, and in fact when my birds werent flying i was looking in the totally wrong direction because i had too much info to take in sometimes..........then i realised, work out whats best for me and my birds and decide which info suits me best or maybe a bit of info from a couple of fanciers blended togeather might work best. |

| People digging up old post are a good clue as well. 50 rings by now is for alot of late borns. I have 3 left, authentic, not spam. If postage is not to expensive I would like to trade them with someone here from another country. If anyone is interested I will get a postage estimate. |
