| Think the format of the picture is great, would be a great tool to have for demonstrating types ie to see the parents to the right and their youngster to the left Well done |

John too true, if it were easy we would all be champions but thats one of the challenges which keeps us all going... they are all what i would class as very strong eyes you need to find lesser eyes to match and i would try and deviate colour as well if thats possible |

| funny you should mention that mark, regarding the eyes of parents and ybs........this season some of the ybs eyes were totally different to the parents, ive read in the past that "eyesign men "can see the family resemblance in the young but i would challange any eyesign man to pick these birds out as a family........ suppose this family thing is mainly just what they see in their own birds/familly. |

its a mine field mate, there are eyesign experts who say they can pick your best birds out purely by the eye (this i dont believe for a minute), as are experts in wing, throat etc etc I like to see strong colours and mountainous eyes (if that makes sense?)....... Imagine looking at the eye and you see all the ridges well if you imagine looking across the eye these would seem like valleys or canyons, the more the better, i dont like seeing plain and pale eyes (as in diluted, drained, faded) over the years we have won with all types of eyes, wings, throats, scaley skin etc etc Since the introduction of ETS its only the foot theory that matters now........... |

| chris, i used to be all for eyesign but have realised its a very minor point to consider........if the bird has flown or bred well then that is more inportant than looking at its eye. |
