| Well our sprinting & Middle Dist is Vanloon X Janssens ;in that our our Marcelus;Smeulders ;Deklak & Reni Deman birds which we class has all being Janssen Base ?our Distance birds we have had since 1961 they are the Old Jurions ;not fast but very honest birds ;we are trying birds to cross into them from time to time for racing only ? cheers |

the royal lofts had jurions so did a neighbour of mine who has ceased racing ..i do remember him telling me that he had success with them on hard days when the velocitys are low also he mentioned crossing them with kirpatricks .i have a few oldies myself a few grooters and a few bricoux x sion and crossed these families, for the shorter races i have busschaerts and gevaerts atb |

| i hope i have spent my money wisley over the years, my loft is soaked in distance blood from old tried and tested strains with one or two modern ones, but at the end of the day they are my birds now so i shall call them, (VAN EDGIES). |

| thats the one mate. But us UK fanciers are worried they would never get recognition or sell a bird if the called them after themselves.. Mine are mongrel crossbreeds. Best of luck mate |

| hi edgie, we have few members here who also fly in the nfc, and like distance racing, im sure they would be interested to hear what breeds/blood lines you originally started out with........
is knottingley near wakefield edgie...?
