and wats the best thing to stop watery droppings.. hi timmy, welcome to the site........ in my stock shed i use laysoft horse bedding on the floor, it absorbes a certain amount of moisture and also means you are not scraping out every day disturbing them etc......also there are sometimes a few reasons why pigeons will have watery droppings........can you be more spacific ? |

| i use horse bedding on the floor and if its deep enough the dust works its way to the bottom and does not circulate the air when they flap about having said that i change mine every 10 to 12 weeks the one i use is heavier than most eco comfy bed is the name of it |

| i use easibed for a floor covering (horse bedding)....i keep it a decent depth underneath where all the perches are,but only a light covering everwhere else on the floor,as i scrape the main floor every day. |

| i use one full bale of softlay horse bedding per 6ft section, it gives a good depth which doesnt blow around when the birds are flying around the loft. |

| i like it for the stock birds don, it means no cleaning out all the time and disturbing them...........all i do is remove any piles under the perches every few days,
i only use this in the stock shed tho and prefer to scrape out in the racing section. |

| hi birdlady you need a dropping board under the perch this is a board about 8" wider than the perch and running the length of them this board will catch all the droppings and keep the floor dry |

| i have dropping boards most of the way round the shed, made them up myself with some plywood and batoning.thats were i put the deepest layer of easibed on,i only have 3 prs of birds atm,so i dont really have the volume of poop.i do have a vinyl floor in there, its slightly harder to scrape,as the scraper can catch on it,but it means i can mop it out easier,to try and keep the bugs down. |
