- No what i'm saying i would rather put say a 2010 ring on a November bred bird than a latebred i found latebreds never very robust and that was for breeding as well.. they just never looked the part and i would think most fanciers have no confidence in them

| I only have 1 opinion on late breds apart from a bird bred just for breeding from something special, They are for loosers...wate of your time and money, we all know the stories about how someone had a champion late bred just like my grandad smoked 60 fags a day and lived to 90, but you will breed 100 to get 1 good one and thats just not good sense....breed more youngsters early on and just train and keep them, just breed late breds if you need something to eat. haha. |

| As I said there is nothing wrong with lates for breeding and starting a family as the genes are no different to the earlies, as for racing for get it, you will end up loosing them and starting again with lates next year, you will get in the habbit and become a looser. Every year in our club we have the late bred bragade wanting our training wagon to start off at 4 miles so they can school the 40 odd lates they bred, the good fanciers start there birds off at 15 or 20 miles because they have raced or trained as ybs, but by the first race the latebred boys are down to 5 or 6, happpens every year mate all over the country. I breed lates but not for myself only for others to breed from next year, which is what they should be for. |
