Just had the YB up the road, only took them five miles, where I let em go you could see our big trees that are at the back of our garden. The went up no problem, the wrong way lol!
Got home no sign.
50 minutes later all but three back, all I can say is they have had a good fly. scratch

lol!
This is the only basket training I do, they only see the basket when they are going training. Doing it this way will keep them on their toes and as the other team catch up I will be adding these too.
Once they are all on an even keel, I will move them on a little.
It's only education for them, but am in no rush.

the first training my ybs get is only from a couple of miles, this is only to get them used to coming out of the basket.......last year i gave them maybe half a dozen, then moved them to 5 miles for maybe another half dozen.

after this i gradually took them to 10 miles which might seem a bit slow and long drawn out, but doing it this way i never lost one yb training last season.....once they had been given a few at 10 miles they were ready to go with the club trainer.

a bit of education for them.
Will do it again tomorrow, they will be back before me, flying around.
or maybe just might take themselves off for another jaunt.
Perhaps they are telling me not to take the mick and give em a bit further. lol!

I will nurture them Ginger and when the time comes I can be a tough taskmaster, I usually prefer them to be early bred, but beggars can't be choosers as they say.
A few times they have been taken off by trainers passing over, but to their credit, they have come back home.
I'm a firm believer when you spread all things out with youngsters, it cuts down on the stress. At the moment they are playing and seem to enjoying every minute of it cheers
