Is anyone training.......?

will anyone be trining their birds yet.....? most days between 11 oclock and 11.30 a bunch of pigeons fly over my house all in a line so they look as tho they are training on their way home rather than just exercising from home...........any thoughts.....?

seen a few lots this week flyers training their own birds, starting mine next week if weather is ok

what training all ready,they will be burnt out by the time racing starts i bet

late breds phil just short distance for now, once or twice a week upto 10 mile

i dont let them out apart from when i want them in the bath never mind training its far too early dont start until youngbirds are off them and hens off them and excercising for an hour then i go training

plenty of time steve,wait for better weather

yes maybe amanda, seen them most days and thought they were trainers........when steve came over to mine a few weeks ago we saw a big bunch of pigeons fly over us then too.....

would think training latebreds would be ok for steve to do, like ray and ian says with the obs rearing i wouldnt think they should train but as a said latebreds will need all the learning they can get i would emagine.....?

only doing it in good weather, just to get them ready for when training starts with rest, others in club train latebreds early winter but i didnt have option only got them early and late september

yea steve, i think its ok to do what your doing.....like you say, take them in decent weather and then in with the others when they start......

all our training will be on there own, going in car mates taking trailor letting others go before ours

why are you taking other peoples as well ? how many latebreds are you training steve.....?

just got 8 lost 2 round loft over a week ago, mates got job of taking clubs trailor training members birds

ah right, one of our members takes members birds too.......last year he was charging £2 per basket which is for nothing i think, dont know how much it will be this year but im going to start them off myself and then let them go with club training......

last fler who took them 3 years ago charged 10p a bird mates charging same

cant grumble at 10p a bird can they, the bloke who takes ours is £2 weather there is one bird or 20 birds.......so either way they are not dear to get our birds trained, it would cost a lot more than that if i took them myself every day.

no charge for me but i pay petrol when we went to south shields and leeds

maybe another trip to leeds one day eh steve......are the two hens paired up yet ????? just managed to pair the nest mate up to the 09 bird you have, all he was doing is fighting every hen i pt him with........got him locked in now to get used to his box and defend it......

09 hen on eggs 08 asnt had any yet
