ian, is the rule because there are a lot of members close to each other, or because you are on allotments ?

have heard of this rule before where fanciers fly on allotments.

wouldnt be good to have birds flying around on race day as it will spoil the race wouldnt know what was off the race or just excercising

ian, is it because you are on allotments or there are a lot of pigeon men near you.

avid they would be 800 -1000 birds flying about

id say there were about 10-12 around my imediate area, luckily we are not too close together....

couldnt stand pigeons out when they are due back from race

i know the feeling ian, had my ybs out last week and the nieghbours were cutting the grass and messing about in the garden.......my blood was boiling... i was thinking they would be scaring my birds so they wouldnt land, but to be honest it didnt bother them at all and they landed and came straight in. im always like that and get wound up by things like that.... i always think they are doing it on purpose...

When racing in this area there is always pigeons out flying

The best is if the tumbler men are flying and we are racing on a sunday also there are a few words flying

yes i bet there is don the so called tumbler men abide by our rules also altho not club members so we have no problems

they dont bother near me.... you always know when someone has clocked because his birds are out flying. not very sportsman like though.....

it is ian, the man im thinking of is one of the top flyers so it just shows what he thinks doesnt it ? then again, no wonder hes winning because even if someone was a few mins later than him hell have his birds out and spiol their chances wont he.....

David if it was me i would let my birds out about 5 mins before the birds are due just to make a point to this person

It's all about working together and showing sportsmanship to each other

yes it is don, with me not racing mine this year i never let them out on a saturday so not to spoil others racing.....its bad sportsman like when fanciers have trained all week and put time and effort into them, then the birds them selves have been in a basket over night and then flown maybe 100 - 300 miles just to be put off when they arrive home and fail to trap.....its not on.
