In a perfect world edgie what you say is correct "Unfortunately" for numerous reasons etc real life may be some what differant I suspect in many cases. I just happened thou to be the lucky one ??????? who cleaned out the Fed units each week in my old club (40 mile round trip) one good thing etc all the birds always got a toss . Here !!!!!! all units were steamed cleaned at the start of the season & because the birds were all on metal grills in all the tiers (8 to a unit) which easily were taken out & cleaned & then all droppings racked out from the metal floors, it all worked quite well. As long as you had a strong back to shift the units etc which were on casters to roll them on to the trucks type of thing. Differant I know here but the season always started off in what I call the good old days 2 trucks 24 units x 2 & 40 pigeons in each tier & 8 tiers to a unit. A wee mob as I used to call it etc. Sadly !!!!! thou Today, there lucky to fill half a truck unfortunately. ***** |
