If the latter    I would give the birds away "ASAP", because you will never be able to afford to feed them. the one I had sick seems good was on the perches this morning so I'm happy.

was my first season this year mate and with the advice and help of this site it was a good 1 just remember u get out wat u put in and make ur birds fit u not the other way mate all the best

enjoy mate otherwise theres no point  take in advice but dont be afraid to say that wont work for me remember ur the boss off ur loft

firstly enjoy ur birds matey then try and put a system in place and stick to it as closely as you can its all about routine they don't like to many changes and the biggest part is always try to be calm round the birds cause if ur uptight the birds will pick up on it believe me . ive been in the pigeon game over 35 yrs and still learnin but I get by now lol always remember wen in company with older fanciers that's been in the game a few yrs is say nowt but listen hard that's the game m8  all the best with the birds and enjoy you wont find a better hobby the gr8 old English past time as I call it lol

thanks daz but I fink if your gonna give anyone advice its gtta be onest or he be goin round in circles lol we gt a gd bunch ov lads on here on the hole so he shud be on his way pretty soon if he a gd listener lol  

Thanks guys I will and have been following your advice so far.

I'm all ear's and want to learn everything.

I love my birds think there brilliant, even pull people up when they call them flying rats lol, I hate it. people class them as the same as town pigeons and I hate it.

Our birds are so much in a different league to those and well looked after better then our wife's or girl friends lol.

Today gave all 3 sections a good clean and perches a good clean.

My young bird that was sick has improved hell of a lot on perches the lot now thanks
for the help on that too guys. he mite have passed away without your help.

My dad use to keep then when i was little but gave up because they made him ill..because of the lime he say's?

Wise words !!!!!!!!    The spin doctors today, may say otherwise for their own gratification etc in the sport & then happily take your money   unfortunately if you let them, so beware in that area. If one remembers thou "The Kiss theory"   & that you don't have to be a rocket scientist etc, all should turn out ok with a bit of luck, & if one just uses common sense.

Good Morning all. nice day today.

I've started to feed my birds 2x a day and leaving there food in there for 30 mins no more no less.

Young birds are doing great, there all picking up and drinking great now soon it will be time for coming out and joining the rest cant wait.

Any tips of breaking young ones in?

My view Gordon  , is try & find a good all round mix etc & that should do you for most of the year "But remember" protein protein & protein (more peas etc) when breeding. Far to much money is wasted on fancy mixtures with a pigeon on the bag for what I see, & good pigeons are not all that fussed   & will just about eat anything if hungry. It may sound all to simple      but it fits quite nicely into the "kiss theory".

Don't go too scientific on me Gordon etc    or are you trying to do my head in    "brown white or green" a pea is a pea at the end of the day (25%protein) for what I remember, thou for no special reason I do prefer the brown ones here, when they are in season.
