| Yes Ken it has to be fresh but in the feeding pot for each nest box
But when feeding youngsters would place fresh grit in the feeding troff and place the food over the top this way you have a greater chance of the youngsters eating a small amount than placing it in a pot placed in the corner waiting for them to take advantage of fresh grit
But I Know Nothing Ken |

I have always had salt pots in all my lofts 24x7x52 type of thing for years. They soon tell a story if there is any dampness around. ***** |

When I was a wee lad OS with the pigeons, my back yard was the beach here. "Cheap sand/grit" as much as you liked to take. Today !!!!!! "The do gooders" would dob you in "Big time" & you would finish up with a fine from the council etc. Oh !! how things have changed. ***** |
