On the water fountain i like to put a cork on a piece of string, on each compartment of water fountain. I find it gives the young bird the knowledge and confidence, when they are trying to get to the water on transporter, and also coming into traps. The self confidence of moving objects, can be off putting to youngsters, so this helps in their ability to understand, you sometimes have to move things to get access. Just my little tip for some.

I have used the plastic ones in the past, but you only have drill small holes on metal ones. It give the young ones somethink to think about.

We have our water put on in Baskets in front of the loft ;so birds come from insde the loft in to the Baskets & drink from day one ; we can also then run our birds into them for Tossing if need be ; personally i hate the water put on inside the loft as dampness can & does cause heath problems ; cheers
