there are only 3 things I now treat sour crop, one cold and going light all by old hand tried treating for canker but not again what I have noticed if a bird looks a bit down one going light tablet and the bird is first down for corn if the bird was a good racer or breeder I think then I would go to the vet I would not waste time and money thinking I knew best

no I mean scribes...first thing to reach for with a wet eye or one eyed cold would be wheat germ oil for me (vit A)

ive read one eyed cold is due to lack of vit A too.....but I usually treat with the conjunctivitis drops from chemist, it usually does the trick in a couple of days.

vitamin A ...lack of it can cause eye problems 9 out of 10 times its just a peck in the eye...never ever found it to be a respiratory problem although it could be an indication...those one eyed cold tablets by old hand or osmonds are VIT A ....wheat germ oil is a good source of vit A,D,E  and octacosanol you will get a lot more for your money

Some may say they have the answer to Breeding a champion pigeon, and some may say they dont have a clue. So what do we look for when the Breeding cycle comes around, This may help a few members, as we have members returning to the sport.

I've been guilty of sending my birds too heavy in the past.
But since starting again I've incorporated barley into the feed much more, I've found their body holds its shape well but they seem much lighter.
Still work in progress though.
