| If you look at the janssen van den bosch pigeons the pigeons are mainly pearl eyed
When i had this bred they were all pearl eyed pigeons and you always had to pair the same eyes together |

| i think pearl to pearl is ok for sprint pigeons, but not so good for distance birds....although i dont pair just on eyesign i try to put pearls to yellows as i think this gives a more all round performer, but if i had no choice i would put pearl to pearl....

But dont take this the wrong way but i have been studying this subject from the age of 8 when i first came in contact with Terry Lodge of Top Lofts UK and he showed a film with Bill Carney talking about eyesign
And that was it i was hooked big time

| ive always been interested in eyesign don, and i read about "eyesign men" and their interpritation of whats in the eye, and to be honest half of them talk a load of nonsense, they all contradict each others theory for a start......they just say the same things about every type of eye weather it is a distance eye or a breeding eye.....when some fanciers go on about reccessive and dominant eyes they dont have clue what they are on about as its just what they have read parrot fashion. and as for rating them on a 1 to 10 ....how do they know, everyone has different oppinions of their value....some like wide corralation and some say thin.....so i think alot of it is just down to what individuals interperate an eye as, altho i think jack barkels explanation is more thorough and more beleivable than most... |

| David yes you are right in what you say it is down to what the fancier likes
You are right also with the comments about the eyesign they all sing out of the same book
That is why i like to say i know nothing as what i think is a good pigeon may not be to someone else
There are many roads that lead to rome with this topic and as will say also it is what the fancier likes at the end of the day and what you think is the right type ofeye for you |

| if a fancier gets a bird that wins well and looks at the eyes, hes going to read all sorts into it and then say the eye tells him this....i think half of it is covering their backs....dual purpose eye? anyone can say that....bet most have never seen a green eye or even if they have they wouldnt recognise one, or a violet eye too.....one things for certain don, a winner never has a bad eye..... |

| Yes mate you am right by saying that
But i have seen a green eye as the old hen i had who bred a load of prize winners had that type of eye
But as you say it is all parriot fashion al purpose ect, just cover your back and sound like you know something about eyesign |
