| Sounds good dave I will have a go at taking some photos the weekend might be a good idea to take them in macro mode on your camera as you can take close ups with out them coming out blurred never done it before but will try

| yes 2 of our members are experienced eyesign judges roy, chuda, who is a member of my local club, and is well known for judging eyesign shows, and also our member don webb, who has judged at shows in the past......maybe one or both will accept the job as judge for us, or possibly we could have an old bird and a young bird eye show........suppose it all depends on how many enter or can take eye pictures. |

| Camera not too close. Same as zooming in. Makes them blurry. Sunlight is the best light. Some one to hold the bird is ideal! |

| What are you going to do if you get enough good quality photographs of pigeons' eyes.
Who is going to judge them? - are you going to get one person to judge them, or will ALL members be voting.
All this, of course depends on whether one believes in this eye sign stuff, which has been proven time and time again to be a load of old rubbish.
If people could really tell the quality of a pigeon just by looking at its eye, there would be some very famous and rich men in our sport, but as there aren't, one can only come to one conclusion - It's a load of crap!

| I'm not a believer in eyesign, but I will certainly try and support any shows the forum wishes to put on, so if you want to put one on for the longest wings I'm in |

What a very sensible statement Lofty. I just think it is a big con - there is no way an eye of a pigeon can tell you if it's going to be any good. Be each to his own, I guess. Phil |
