ffs fair play to the bird for sticking to the task all my pretty ybs have gone had a lovely gay pied and a black pied both gone never put a foot wrong before all blues remaining in the loft its a shame as I love to see a bit of colour in the loft atb for Saturday m8

What a real shame Lofty - I mean that your bird came back injured. But at least you have it back.

It is a troubling time for all of us right now.

And those bloody hawks don't help either.

Just had a check on the little pied, the hole has covered in a crust now, but there's a lump under it, she's fluffed up on her perch just now, hope she'll be ok, she has eaten and taken a drink so hopefully she will pull through

She will be fine Lofty will say this you will not lose her now she is a game bird mate

I took my young birds 23 miles today. First time they have been there and they made it back in 34 minutes - I was chuffed.

good to hear it went well ours had a day off today

Same here as a result of the last two days

you can use this link to work out the distances of your training flights.
Just type in your home town and the liberation point.
It also draws a line from the destination to your house.
you can leave the lines on the map to see if your training from the line of flight.
its a great tool.

17 miles Hainault 1st toss
17 miles Hainault
17 miles Hainault
22 miles Harlow
22 miles Harlow
25 miles Bishops Stortford
22 miles Harlow
29 miles Hertford
22 miles Harlow
25 miles Bishops Stortford
29 miles Hertford

All back to Basildon.
I keep changing the liberation point to keep them thinking.

Looks OK to me Boosey there etc any plans to give them a few club tosses as such in your area, to gain the mob toss type experience.

I trained similar to this last year knackered and then in the last week sent them with a local trailer and after a few days on their return they had some kind of young bird sickness, do this year I vowed to only train them myself, and as I am a white van driver I can take them any day I want luckily, weather permitting.

Ok I would never argue      with another man     like you Boosey etc with a van   . For me, being a lazy type now I'm happy to go unit tossing here just like today as such, where they did 80 miles in 80 minutes, for the quick ones & I just won't mention where my late ones may have finished up  seeing as the wind was that strong up there back side .
