Been very busy saturday and Sunday. .paired some stock up. Put new perches in yb end .cleaned cabin up as it was a terrible mess lol...sorted some birds out ....still lots to do though but getting there...

decorating and loft chores today in-between picking up and dropping off the wee fella to school

renewed bedding in the fourth section today, only one more to do this week and that's it, all done with new fresh bedding.........

worst problem is getting rid of the old bedding, I thought because it was wood chippings it would burn, but it doesn't and im filling the wheely bins up with it, weighs a ton so don't know what the bin men will think........

I use shavings and mine burn. Very slowly, days sometimes. Throw papers and some old wood on when I start it. Bit of diesel fuel helps!

mine always goes in the green bins david ...got to laugh though when they try to pull the bin along or when its tipped as theirs quite a cloud of dust anyway our binmen are sweet now after a few tinnies at xmas time for the lads

yes Darren, I`ll have to start using the green and brown bins in future.....I never bother to sort plastics and paper out, feck that........but I`ll empty them net time they are due and then ive 4 bins I can fill up with old bedding in future.

Not a lot going on today apart from the usual loft job's had the hens out this morning have the cocks out tomorrow a slow day at work glad to see 5 o'clock

Labour intensive that way David "Bin men" . Here, it's one man one truck & his **** never leaves his seat etc & subsequently I can get away with murder just about       when I load up Big time. At times  I struggle to drag my bins up my mountain here to be picked up as such on the road above. Cheers.

when I was a youngster knackered, the bin men would come in the garden, pick up the metal bin and carry it out to tip into the bin wagon....they would then bring it back in the garden for you.

not like nowadays where they do as little as possible, and complain if the bin is over full or not at the designated collection area.

thing is they get all us mugs to pay them to remove the rubbish, separate all the plastics , paper etc and wheel them into the street...then they sell in on and make profit out of it......

The new way is your local council it appears striving to give you customer satisfaction etc David Less value for your pound type of thing .

Breakfast/birds/waffle & the weather is that crap here      I will just spend the day in the garden chilling out & forget all the stresses/pressures, life in general tends to throw up at times. Cheers.

Scrapped out the easy bed, given up on deep litter, going back to scraper and lime , rung six birds today, then spend an hour at the Cardiac rehab centre

Yes Darren, its getting damp for my liking, I know the weather don't help but going back to the scraper and lime, like to keep the shed as dry as possible if I can
