First channel race for us ..sent a strong team of 23 to ypres , I think 347ish miles...

Seems early in the season for channel races, hope weather is good and you have good returns.

Good flying! Thunderstorms here next few days. Will not ship Friday but if a Sunday race will do it. Better weather. Nothing on the Fed site yet regarding shipping. They have to be given a chance, the yearlings.

Best of luck etc Hal Keen as mustard types are out training down here now , but I'm at least 3 weeks away before I attempt to press the enthusiasm button with the training scenario   in fact all my old hens for this year haven't even been out since xmas    .

Had to ship to the shorter 205 miler. Club members did not want the extra distance. 40 miles shorter than me though. Very strong headwind forecast.

Forecast wrong!! Rain some sun then cloud and thunderstorms. Mission accomplished somewhat. Did nto bother clocking. Now can pull down one loft anyway. May have racers soon instead of homers!! Not complaining at all.

we were at ripon this week liberated at 9.30 we sent our 8 cocks and got them all 1 came the next morning ,we were 10th 11th 12th club and a few minutes off the pace ,we went with the welsh birds this week and plenty birds were seen coming off the river so looks as though they defied the wind direction although our first birds were online coming out the north but the winners came off the river therefore following the welsh pigeons ,strange race
