Credit where due etc.

I know we at times have a go at the copper types etc  for things they do, which don't quite meet with our approval. But I would hope thou most would hope when they go to work of a morning, come the end of the day they all go home type of thing to their families after doing their duty for the day as such. Didn't happen  here last night I'm . 4 police officers in a pursuit car pulled over a speeding half whit type driver in a black Porsche doing well over the speed limit at peak time on our local freeway into the service lane beside it. All now dead unfortunately, because some moron in a 10 tonne truck was speeding also in the service lane were he should never have been in the first place & smashed right into the Porsche & then the police car killing the 4 of them. Porsche driver, well known to the police did a runner on the spot, but before he left the scene he took pictures of the disaster he caused & then put them all on his face book page. Like or loath them, those 4 police officers & their families deserved much better I would suggest. So in the end, credit due where credit due I say.

Think in the main Knackered our police do a thankless job.

Too many different aspects of their duties to make an all round assessment

Sad when anyone is killed in a car chase, or any other situation for that matter.

However, when you see some footage of police chasing an idiot one could think that it may be better to take the car number and let them go, their details can give all that is required to make a call at their home and sort matters out.

Have seen chases on the television when the police have instigated a chase and made it dangerous, when they could take the car details and have someone waiting at the registered address.

Web cams can get the evidence of any crime, prior to giving any chase.

Our police force started going down hill when applicants had to give details of all their preferences and were chosen on the basis of how many of what.

Handed himself in this morning here O/S     accompanied by his lawyer for protection etc. before he shot through He had been found to be driving under the influence of drugs & what was left of his car was being impounded at the time. 140kmph he was clock at in a 100Kmph zone. Truck driver, doing 100Kmph type thing when the top speed he should have been doing was  around 30/40Kmph while passing an ammergancy type vehicle, like police car/ambulance/fire truck as such. Worst loss of life for the police force in a local sense, since Ned Kelly & his clan had their shoot out in Glenrowan, 140 odd years ago.
