| Boris Johnson described Matt Hancock as “totally f****** hopeless” early in the coronavirus pandemic, according to a message published by former top aide Dominic Cummings.
Mr Cummings, who has blamed Mr Hancock for failings during the Covid response, published a screenshot apparently showing a WhatsApp exchange between himself and the Prime Minister. On March 3 last year, the controversial former aide highlighted the US’s ramping up of testing capacity and criticised Mr Hancock for saying he was “sceptical” about meeting a target. The prime minister purportedly responded: “Totally f****** hopeless.” It comes as Lord Frost has told told MPs that talks with the European Union were making little progress. The two sides are locked in a dispute over the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol, the part of the Brexit divorce deal aimed at avoiding a hard border with Ireland. Lord Frost again restated the UK’s threat to unilaterally suspend parts of the arrangement, a point made repeatedly by Boris Johnson in recent days. You couldn't make it up lol. Still with a blustering towards his back benchers, and not to the Camera or Starmer etc. Boris and co will lie they way clear till the Tory worshippers fiddle their thumbs, forgive the side stronger with them. As said At last when they lie, they believe it'! |

| Downing Street did not dispute the contents of Mr Cummings blog, saying only that they were “not planning to engage with individual allegations”.
Boris Johnson described Matt Hancock as “totally f*****g hopeless” as the Covid pandemic took hold in the UK, former Downing Street aide Dominic Cummings has claimed.
Mr Johnson’s former top adviser leaked WhatsApp messages apparently from the prime minister, which included the expletive-laden attack on the health secretary.
Mr Cummings accused the PM of trying to “rewrite history” to defend Hancock and said Mr Johnson “cannot be trusted now either on Covid or any other crucial issue of war and peace”.
And he claimed that the public inquiry announced by the PM was designed to delay its findings until after Johnson leaves office in 2025 or 2026, meaning that the UK will be faced with five years of “chronic dysfunction” in government unless “some force intervenes” to speed up the process.
He said it was “unlikely” that either the Cabinet or Tory MPs would remove Johnson while he enjoys big leads in the polls. But he said that the “systemic incompetence surrounding the PM” is so great that his operation is “programmed to unravel” and people should prepare for its collapse. |

| https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/dominic-cummingss-disclosures-are-as-embarrassing-for-boris-johnson-as-they-are-for-matt-hancock/ar-AAL6P5u?ocid=mailsignout&li=BBoPWjQ sometimes its better to have one spitting out the tent than into it eh! When Matt Hancock appeared before two select committees last week, he emerged largely unscathed after answering explosive allegations by Dominic Cummings that he repeatedly lied to cabinet colleagues and the public during the coronavirus pandemic. One reason was that Cummings had refused to provide the MPs with evidence to back up the claims he made to them two weeks earlier. Jeremy Hunt and Greg Clark, the two committee chairs, ruled that the allegations had not been substantiated in the absence of the back-up evidence Cummings had promised them. Today, Cummings has turned the tables on Hancock in an incendiary and characteristic 7,000-word blog. It includes a WhatsApp exchange in which Johnson appeared to tell Cummings that Hancock was 'totally f***ing hopeless'. In another message, in April last year, Johnson called the position on personal protective equipment “a disaster” and said: 'I can’t think of anything except taking Hancock off and putting [Michael] Gove on [PPE]'. Cummings tweeted: “Evidence on the Covid disaster: as the PM said himself, Hancock’s performance on testing, procurement, PPE, care homes etc was ‘totally f***ing hopeless’, and his account to MPs was fiction.” He then listed a series of questions for Johnson to answer. They included: “Given his failures on testing, care homes and PPE, why did you keep in post a secretary of state you described yourself as ‘totally f***ing hopeless’ and how many more people died as a result of your failure to remove him?” The disclosures are acutely embarrassing for Johnson as well as Hancock. They give credence to Cummings’s claim that the prime minister considered sacking Hancock in the pandemics early stages. Cummings suggested he should have been fired for at least 15-20 mistakes but was kept on so he could be sacrificed later to shield Johnson from criticism. |
