| dont know if my birds have had enough training to send to this weeks peterborough race,i missed the first two newarks which are 56 miles to me so the next race will be peterborough 98 miles.....my birds have onlly had about 5 at 10 miles and 2 at 35 miles, they came well both times at 35 miles with 4/5 cocks coming first togeather and the rest all coming within the next 10 - 15 mins.
should i enter them into a sunday open race which is from newark 56 miles and then jump them to reed which is over 100 miles......cant decide, what do i do ? |

| hi david , if your not sure i would enter them in the open race from 56 miles ideal for your birds then send them to next weeks race then they will be ready with a couple of 35 mile chucks in between . all the best buddy you have to send them david no point sat in the loft , what ever you do good luck . |

| another thing to consider david with racing from peterborough your racing the same line as the UNC if the get swept up with that lot then it takes a good bird to pull out of that , i know they will be at different times libs , but even so they will be the straglers from the UNC further down the line coming up the peterborough area if i was you send them to the open race cheers kev . |

| me again , david looking at the BHW there is 2 lbs from peterborough barkston ash fed , and the london north rd combine , the UNC are at newark and so is the durham combine , so the NE birds are in front of yours should be no problems there . |

| David this problem is something I have to deal with all the time, we only have a 98 mile starter race then if you miss it your next race is 122 miles, So we are constantly jumping birds. 50 odd miles is not a jump for pigeons, I lifted youngsters 2 weeks ago from 35 miles to 122, with no problems. My answer is simple, if you get the chance of a 50 mile race do it, themn 100 miles is no problem to them, those that dont go get them up to 40 miles yourself then put them 100 miles. |
