David you where saying you wanted to keep some for stock is that what your going to do if it was me I would race them if they dont fly shorly they shouldnt be bred from they might breed for you but I dont think thats the way to start when I came back into it I had youngsters from all over the place and I told the bloks I had them from that they where to fly not for stock, it takes a time to get going but at leased your breeding from birds that can fly, it seems like to me you dont wont to lose them this is up to you, you do what you like I dont like to lose them but thats part of raceing birds what you lose you dont have to feed you might as well feed 4 that flys than 12 that hasnt been any where

thats right you breed from tried and tested birds

the birds im thinking of holding back have had only three open races, but in my opinion they are from two fanciers who have already tried and tested them in their own lofts and beleive me they cull hard.................if the parents/grandparents were no good they would have been in the bin years ago.

yes don, the birds are already tested.............and they are winning lines, so that will do for me.

best for me is in our youngbird national from folkestone,1st club , 1st fed , 2nd section , 38th up north combine, out of 17, 000 birds, looking to beat this this year
