| yes ian, i would treat before pairing up as routine for the usual canker, cocci etc.....but i think some see a bird a bit off colour and they dive straight in to the medicine.... or failking that they just kill it at the slightest sign of being a bit run down.... |

don what do you mean got me confused how can you treat when sitting eggs to prevent any problems with eggs ,the eggs are already layed so even if you treat the birds it wont do anything to the eggs |

| In the artical they would never treat there birds before laying as they did not want the pigeons being knocked about during the treatment
By waiting till the eggs have been laid all the goodness and quality of the pigeon is passed to the egg were if the pigeon is treated during the furtilisation period the quality of the egg may be of a poor |

| ive always treated two weeks before pairing up, but i see your piont don and it does make as much sence as the two weeks before pairing idea....i suppose its like not treating while they are feeding ybs as it will be passed to them.

| David as they are not racing they will start to moult a lot earlier than most race birds
But as soon as the old bird season and old birds are stopped racing within a week they will drop apart
But not if you have repaired them |
