| If you use sand and lime in large amounts then you will have dust butif you have bare floors you should have very little dust |

| i use that versa larga (or something like that) floor whitener every day and try to use as little as possible....used lime years ago but it gets on the back of your throat so i couldnt use that again....im quite happy with the floor whitener, although sometimes when i dont think i need to use it i dont...plus this helps to keep the dust down... |

| David for me bare floors is the best, no dust, plus you can see the droppings of the birds and seeif anything is wrong |

| If you use deep litter you can not check the droppings and this causes loads of dust |

| Yes mix cat litter with sand as this hels dry up the droppings as i used this method with my dad many years ago
But to clean it you have to riddle to sand to remove the droppings very dusty |

| strange but in my yearlings section when i scrape out there are damp patches where the droppings have been, but in the ybs the droppings are bone dry when i clean out and very rarely need the flor whitener, i just scrape the dry droppings up and the floor is nice and dry.....? |

| when i got my loft it had tounge and grooved flooring but ive covered it with chipboard and this makes it easy to scrape out every day, and then i usually put floor whitener down unless sometimes i think it doesnt need it as it can be fairly dusty...... |
