| just gone to check on ybs and one of the hens whos paired up has laid an egg, she is one of two hens paired to the same cock so hopefully this might motivate her to get home quick ??? only thing is she will be due to lay the second egg Saturday afternoon  any thoughts anyone ? |

| I would not send her david but she be well motivated for the 2 races after as I would take away eggs after this unless you plan to let them hatch because otherwise they will start to produce crop milk which will sour in the crop unless feeding the ybs so take away eggs after 16 days max ...atb |

| thanks for the advise Darren, we have the same race point the week after from Newark 56 miles, so if I let her sit the eggs she might be better to go into the second Newark sitting 6 days ??? |

| yes exactly david and even more so the race after sitting 13 days  but I would then take away the eggs on the following Monday when she been sitting 15 days I don't like the idea of ybs rearing ybs jmo mind you |

| no Darren, id have no plans for her to hatch them....but as you say I could get 2 good races out of her (in theory...lol) by missing this weeks race and letting her sit the eggs... |
