how often do members give grit to there birds...I give depatagoon which is very similar to matrix (but better in my opinion ) every day, plus black minerals 3 - 4 times per week.

Grit is available all day every day, renew it at least twice a week, it's surprising how keen they are to get at the new stuff as soon as its down, so they must be getting something from it

just what my uncle taught me, he reckoned pigeons could do without grit for a number of days and he didn't want them carrying extra baggage, who knows hey Smile

Grit, no grit Smile Smile one of those little 1% things from my perspective. Breeders I would say it's a necessity etc when breeding Wink Wink race birds that potter around the yard type of thing, maybe not so important I would suggest. cheers
