9 old bird race weekends. 2 races a weekend. May 5 to June 30. Longest 400 miles. 9 young bird race weekends. August 4 to Sept 29th Longest 320 miles. Month break as you can see between old and young. May be a 500 miler if any club in the Fed wants to host it. Heck, in Australia Alice Springs to Adelaide is 800 miler. However, seems that around here short to mid distance is now the norm. Maybe I should buy some speed youngsters? Locally as the parents have proven themselves. Horses for courses.

They are all in the YB loft together. Deep litter so if some want to nest they can. Seldom do though.

ah right hal, that's been one of the problems ive had, ybs pairing up ......tends to make them not want to exercise around the loft, too eager to be on / in the loft chasing each other around.
