Folkestone- back 24 hours

Just read on the NEHU forum that our big national race from Folkestone has been put back 24 hours, makes sense as bad forecast for tomorrow, hope we get a good race for sunday. Hope Ray does well after last week.

i think its always safer/better to put a race back if bad weather is expected paul, otherwise there will be bad losses/poor returns and if we know about it then its best to postpone..........some would want to race whatever the conditions i know but its the birds we need to consider.

just seen weather on news and it looks to be a good morrning .... sat

hopefully will get a good race sunday

saturday south of rotherham, heavy rain all way down south till evening n e winds, sunday cloudy no rain cold n e winds, sunday will be similar conditions to mondays race

been horribe here in leeds, windy and cold.........glad i didnt send any to the race,all tucked up safely in there nests.....

never said i was sending ian, only said im glad i hadnt sent and they were safe in their nests......as it happend tho if i had wanted to i could have sent 15 birds to our club race this week but want to concentrate my efforts on yb racing..

Well, Folkestone birds held over, another day in the basket and 289 miles to get back home, no good to those back to work though, the rarety of Monday racing??

quite a few losses in our club today

think there must be more held over too, only heard of lightening mcqueens (mark) club being liberated and he said it was a bad one again with still plenty of perches empty.......

We are in folkstone tomorrow, we marked today, hope they dont get dragged up into england. Last week we had birds reported in staffordshire.

Hi david, I havent sent this week. Its been a bit of a mess for us so far, our first race was cancelled so our first race was 123 miles madness. So I havent been sending, I will have to wait 2 weeks for the comebacks.

yes i think your right to do martyn, by the reports on the races that have gone ahead its not worth throwing them away................

best chance of racing today, weather worsening next couple of days so hopefully early lib today rain early afternoon north yorkshire
