yes i think its best too ........altho`what do i know, im just a man on a laptop .

Think the extra is keeping them through the Winter etc; and the bird limit.

Can see too many impondarables involved.

Best to keep things simple.

still no update on ace pigeons, last update he said it would be today .........( i think )

well it is the rpra offices that update the web site statistics so would think it done today as offices/staff will be back at work but dont hold yer breath like

MONDAY UPDATE
September 21st, 2020
Good Evening

I am sorry that the full results have not been posted online with pooling and the Ace pigeon results etc as the Redding team being a Monday they had to sort out administration and for the pooling to be checked through correctly but it will be online tomorrow at some point.

So will chat about the winners once online.

We had a few more work in today and i have a feeling more will work in tomorrow and the next few days with the wind turning to a moderate SW tomorrow.

The birds that are in the loft are in great condition and soon i will take the winning pigeons to be photographed.

Its then a case of sorting the birds to go into the Yearling races for the rest then to go to auction dates of auction will be published once sorted.

Will update tomorrow evening.

where did you find that info misty as rpra are pubishing the ace bird list tomorrow...last year one of our birds was 95th ace bird the other was 62 i think

A I said before the race David, it is the TIME and not the position that counts.

Although we were not disgraced in position in the final we were well behind many in time., and that what counts overall.

We did better than most in circumstances that did not suit our chap.

For me, MORE THAN SATISFIED.

Could have made a real clanger, according to latest up date from the Loft Manager.

Got Info from Benzing, maybe last years.

Hope I have and I am far out with the position, but we were many minutes behind both the winner and others and were not far in front of some.

Just hope I am wrong.

At least caused a bit of confusion to liven things up.

No need to be sorry I say etc Misty this forum at times I've found is full of little clangers/mistakes I suggest . Matters not thou here I suspect to most in the end, as most can get the gist of what is trying to be conveyed I suspect come the end of the tale, on average . & take care.

so long as they were beat misty then they are behind us as we were 5th ,we beat 3 in front of us and only the bird in 2nd beat us and is indeed the ace pigeon ...remember we had yards in hand to on alot of birds ,i would be surprised if we are out the top 20 ,you probably viewed the one loft ace bird archive...easy done eh...lots of posting going awry here misty and some strange subjects but all go in the melting pot just nicely for a special brew eh   so no worries     atb to ya

Knew in the worst senario we could not be 95th, when looking for the result.

We could only have been in the very worst senario the number in front of us in the final and those in front before and even that would be less than 95th. and almost an imposdibility in real terms.

Senior moment I am afraid.

Lets hope we are in the first ten, we will cetainly beat last years position.

Full results are now online Ace pigeon results and final results with prize money , pooling etc.

Many congratulations to the prize winners and runners up.

What can only be described as very well deserved is the success today of Lee Owen of Chapelford Lofts , Warrington winning 1st Prize in the final of todays RPRA One Loft Race from Alnwick, which from an original entry of 1502 birds, 573 made it to the grand final with Chapeltown Lofts winning 1st Prize and the £25,000 winners Prize.

Lee Owen is from a pigeon racing family with his Father who sadly passed away a few years ago being very successful including winning the very prestigious Bamfords Gold Ring Race a few times. I am sure this will be an exceptionally proud moment for Lee and he will be thinking of his Dad at such a time.   Lee inherited the Pigeon Bug and that is being passed down to some of his own children to carry on the Sport.

Incidentally Lee has eleven children, so their is plenty of scope for new fanciers in the future from this tight knit family.

The winning blue cock is from a truly outstanding breeder Lee owns from Amulet and Sister Sphinx. This cock has bred Lee multiple winners for him including an exceptional performance in the Bamfords Gold Ring in 2018 for his pals Mr and Mrs Silvester winning 1st Section 6th Open .

Amulet is one of the best ever breeders from Hannibal our super son of Kannibal of Dirk Van Dyck and his mother is the fantastic Stardust another superb breeder bred by Dirk Van Dyke, this time from Heremans Ceusters famous Di Caprio when he was coupled with a daughter of Kannibal.

Sister Sphinx was bred by Rik Hermans from a pair that bred many excellent racers and breeders for him from a son of Kanon of Danny Van Dyck and a daughter of his legendary Last One.

Mother of Lee’s winning pigeon is a hen bred by Ron Hillcoat and owned by Mr and Mrs Silvester and loaned to Lee.The bloodline once again is bred from some of the very best original Heremans Ceusters bloodlines available..Nieuwe Rossi x Eenoogske…De Jan…De Olympiade 003.

In fact this pair also bred the 1st Section, 6th Open Bamfords in 2018.





Chapelford lofts also had another early bird in the final winning 76th being bred from a son of Max x Astrid coupled to a daughter of the Portugal Pair.

Here is another bit of useless information etc Just hope I've got it correct as such But the pigeon that finished 10th in the final race didn't even get a mention, in the final list of 380 type of thing .

you have to race all hotspots and final to qualify for ace pigeon ranking ...miss a hotspot and you are off the list end of
