| FINAL RACE UPDATE September 17th, 2020 Good Morning
After studying my normal weather sites 3 from the 4 are saying cloud cover on Sunday and Monday morning at Alnwick with Sunday morning looking like low cloud cover.
Saturday morning is forecast clear and sunny at Alnwick with a light ENE at the liberation point turning more fresh as they come down country which the wind is more or less the same on Sunday.
There will be other domestic racing taking place on Saturday but after most certainly being struck by BOP from Ripon if racing Saturday the one loft birds won’t be the only birds racing Saturday and stand a better chance of being left alone from BOP.
Because of the above i have made the decision not to train today and mark the birds tomorrow late afternoon and race on Saturday. I will finish off setting up the cameras up later and going live with them late afternoon as a test.
We just want to wish everyone the best of luck on Saturday its certainly has been a tough year all round but let’s hope we finish off with a great final race on Saturday.
Jeremy. |

| Best left in loft any way as far as I believe. Rest and let the energy build up. Repeait tired and / or torn muscles if any.
Just wonder, in these One loft races. if a youngster looks tired.puffed up, etc. does it still go for training and race?
Can under stand an out cry if left - where it should be - in loft and not sent. But .... There is always, next week where they may have improved a lot! |

| Cannot grumble at that oldstrain, beat far more than beat it.
First lot trapping was not bad, bit iffy butty afters wards if fanciers had birds poolled etc; feed just before trapping area bit daft.
All in all we have had fair value for money and well done 93 and the breeders, I give all credit to Alfie.
Well done oldstrain.
Regards.

| Cannot see how 93 can be out of the top ten, race too fast to make many differences to standings before the race.
Pigeon done well.
Keep smiling Knackered.

| YEARLING RACE September 20th, 2020 Good morning After a cracking race yesterday i am being inundated with messages and calls asking if the yearling races are taking place next year the answer is a big YES.
I will be taking a year out of my own domestic racing or longer to make it happen as I explained earlier in the year.
There will be about 60 of mine sold on the rpra auction site and my loft will be empty to race the yearlings to.
Full rules printed this week online and the BHW.
But at a glance will be 4 races on the North rd I expect Alnwick being the semi final then the final from around 350 miles.
The loft will be limited to 250 birds at £200 each with prize money on each race and the final race 10k first prize plus a Ace pigeon award etc.
Cameras set up for each race plus live clocking on Benzing etc.
So now your be getting 9 races a year including the ybs.
News tomorrow evening on the winner and the Ace pigeon winner.

| Think it must be David.
Could not gaurantee settling yearlings that were raced to another loft.
Maybe worth thinking about but what happens regarding the action.

| not sure misty, but it will cost £200 per bird to fly them as yearlings, compared to £135 per bird to race as a young bird .......not sure why the difference |

| Think they will have to be cared for through the Winter David in the same area.
Cannot see them in the YB loft as that will be filled with next years entries, think the loft managers loft must be used.
If oldstrain is interested we could kick an idea or two around.
Surely a decision must be made before the auction.
What happens if your entry suffers a mishap during the Winter?

| yes misty i agree, we need to start thinking about the 2021 rpra one loft ......we will have money coming back to us, and the forms come out around november i think, not too sure.........im sure darren will be willing to breed us more birds if we ask him nicely, they have done us proud for the last few seasons in one lofts, twice in the rpra and once in the mnfc one loft .
so tomorrow i will post up a topic to get an idea whos interested for 2021 |
