Yes wouldn't want the food bill
Alright if your the farmer supplying it type of thing Don . Which then brings me to the point of asking what feed are they actually feeding out little team of champs there etc . *****
Knackered if it was me in this heat it would have to very light food nothing heavy as it's harder for the pigeons to digest and then the dreaded YBS starts
You dont want steak in this heat you want salad something cool and light no stog
More important to keep them hydrated with plenty off sugar/electrolites or better still Honey and Lemon
JMO
MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm plenty here feed them a salad mix now etc Don Trouble is I'm unless your a sprint freak type that enjoys a wind up the backside come race day, they just have nothing in the tank when things turn into a header type moment on average & with us racing in winter here as such for the early type races. *****
Knackered that's were your wrong i'm not a sprint freak type I like sprint to middle distance upto 400 miles
I feed pigeons according to the weather not to have nothing in the tank as that's no good for man nor beast.
Knackered put it this way you go to work for a week but your only allowed to eat 1 apple for breakfast and 1 apple for tea and 1 glass of milk
Is the wind up your backside going to make you work harder
we have a saying down here Don for the one day basket/sprint types etc. We call them, the peas under glass brigade because, that is what many of them get to race on come race day, nothing & especially when the wind is up their backside. Now don't knock the old apple as such as I just happen to live on them here for the enjoyment factor .

JUNE 4TH VIDEO UPDATE AND NEWS June 4th, 2020 Good afternoon It’s that time of year again with many months days and hours of relentless work it’s time to start trailer training and short training until July when we move on further once off the darkness and adapted to the natural hrs before the lights go on in August.
All shots on the video are taken this morning as you can see for yourself they are a picture of health. I would say we are on the 1350 mark in the lofts with 10 percent gone to the normal things such as mortality rates , sparrow hawk strikes , Falcon attacks , and just wandering off from the lofts. This year on every section that is a 11 of them I put different coloured stickers on them and generally the early arrivals and early to mid March did a lot better than the later arrivals it does not always work that way but it has in 2020.
Next week will post a list of birds in the list some have full teams some don’t I can only apologise if you have birds missing but we treat everything equal.
We will do our very best to get as many possible to the first and last race and give you the entrants some fantastic racing.
Will do another update video next week of how things are progressing.
Jeremy..

Certainly nothing to worry about the condition of the pigeons from what one can see, must take a lot of hard work to look after that lot.
Lets just hope ours have missed the problems.

11TH JUNE UPDATE June 11th, 2020 Good Afternoon
A full list of birds in the loft list will be online on the rpra one loft page Monday evening the 15th.
I am just waiting on a few amendments from the administration team and also a few ets rings that need re assignments.
Thank you for your understanding
The education continues with a few hours of loading the birds each morning weather permitting.
I took them Tuesday to one of my neighbours fields who kindly let me use his big field to park up the trailer and put the water on and leave for a hour.
I then released in 12 different batches while James called them in at the Home end.
This education will continue moving along on very slowly until each batch do half a turn and head for home.
Will update next week.

I just wonder if exposing them to two many short tosses with the raptor problem etc; about, is taking unnecessary risks, The raptors are not bothered which they kill, the good the bad or the indifferent.

Yes a bit disappointing oldstrain but some will have lost them all.
Hopefully , we will have at least one in the final, and that under present circumstances that would be a success.
No one knows what happens to those that are lost, the good and the bad and the average are lost and no one can ensure that any choose how good the are are not subject to raptors etc;
Lets just be grateful we are still in there and there is always the possibility another may turn up.
Regards.

You could not have done better in the other OLRs oldstrain.
It is a feat in itself to get one through all the possible problems these races offer.
Luck plays a major part as much as anything else until the final race.
Having said that it takes healthy birds to do so as well as luck.
I think you have done the syndicate proud and nothing is decided until the Old Girl Sings.
Regards.

Agree Always had great faith here etc Misty what left the pairs front gate there as such, had the goods in them to achieve great things for us. But as we know it's a risky scenario with what can at times happen to them in these type races/situations. End of the day thou if they had to go I just hope it was well before the first mob toss they all had, from the neighbours paddock next door there . & take care.

17TH JUNE June 17th, 2020 Good Afternoon
Your find the current loft list under the loft list tab.
The birds have been loaded onto the trailer Sunday , Monday , Tuesday for more education.
Today Wednesday they have had a open loft for a few hrs with baths down as the weather is not fit to train with thunder etc.
Will continue with there education when the weather is good enough.
The birds are improving week by week and i will do a little walk through video over the weekend and will update again on Sunday evening.

They all appear well.
