Hope he does George be very interesting.
Read the BHW George, re balance sheet very interesting.
Raptor Alliance £166,313, benefit, more raptors than ever and we still do not know where we stand legally which should have been the first step..
A real financial mess if you go through the whole scenario.
Five member clubs run better than the lot running the RPRA.

| Never bothered about weaning etc; with complete open loft just made sure they were rung and left the rest to nature, the parents know when to stop feeding their young.
Different with stock birds in a stock loft, but did away with them and the breeders had open loft with the racers

will be nice for all those fanciers who look forward to racing, i think it would have sickened a lot of pigeon fanciers off if there had been no racing . |

Glad to hear if that is so George all should be happy I suspect. More so than the dog men now in Wales, where I believe they are talking about banning grey hound type racing as a hobby/sport there apparently. Brought new rules on using the whip in horse racing. I actually agree the whip should not be used. Greyhound racing not unlike our sport, problem too many bred and too few make the grade, what happens to the others ?. Will not be long before some females suffering womans problems latch on to widowhood and how many pigeons are culled and others sent miles from their homes. Afraid our country has gone to the DOGS. Regards. |

a Looking back David over the past 87 years makes one want to cry at the manner humans have managed, ( through money and greed) to ruin nearly every sport imaginable, and everything else they have become involved in. Our sport mainly involved miners, clubs with large memberships and not a lot of money involved. More fun in village football, you had to live in the village to be a member of the team. Same with cricket. There were very few cars, our milk lady, and butcher, all had horse and carts. There was WW2 but everyone mucked in to help each other. There was very little crime and a murder would be talked about for months. In my lifetime seen going from horse and cart to going to the moon and other planets, from guns to nuclear weapons capable of wiping everything out. But I feel I have lived in the best period ever, pity the idiots in power have made any prospect of a future if left in their hands a pipe dream. Roll on racing. Regards. |

I was very lucky being the second son, I got my elder brothers grown out of's my younger brother mine. Must have been in my teens when got first long trousers. But life was far more enjoyable than now. No mobile phones, very few televisions, but numerous natural persuits including our own feathered friends. What a cock up humans have made of matters. Regards. |

| Had gas lighting Knackered for years until they started with electric.
Wireless, run by battery and accumulator, chap changed them every fortnight, could listen to all the war events.
Gas mantles were a pain, and my dad went round several times a night checking that everything was OK.
Think the first television we had was hired on weekly basis, was big for the size of the screen, which was small.
Cannot remember us ever having a telephone.
My dad worked down the pit which at that time had advantages regarding rationing etc;
There was plenty to moan about would not have missed the experience of all working together for the common good, not like today, society gone to the dogs.
Regards.
