Only ever had two raptor strikes and there is only one cure, it was two, two in my case, killed one of my best hens in one case, left the bodies and waited for the pests to come back and shot them. Heart breaking. Regards. |

| the mirror worked for me i had a 6ft mirror along the front of the loft on the floor tilted up at a 45 degree angle i also had those ornamental steel balls dotted about the garden, one lad had them drilled out and put on poles in front of the loft they dont seem to like shiny reflective things |

If it works a cheap way of protecting your pigeons around the loft, and gives a sense of security, pity is there are too many raptors, some raptors not taking pigeons but the food those that do used to eat making the likes of peregrines and sparrowhawks turning to easy prey, our feathered friends. Can see in nature that predation must take place to have constant continuity of all species but our feathered friends are not intended to be easy meals. Regards. |

| just ordinary mirrors mark, as big as possible in my opinion .....tilt them at an angle that reflects the sun .
worth a try, i suppose everything is different for different areas and if bops/hawks are in big numbers etc.......ive a lot of trees around my loft and crows / magpies nesting in them which attack the hawks. |
