Rumour file down here suggests your government there is working hard on solving that misery issue etc Misty. Going to abolish all trains apparently in the near future for your peasant folk types, so they then can give themselves an almighty extra Xmas type bonus as such for finding a solution to your general issue of concern with the misery scenario   .

they are wanting it so joe public cannot afford to run a car , they want everyone on bicycles and living in 15 minute cities, only the wealthy will be able to afford cars ...... while our government continue to travel around in private jets and gas guzzling 4x4 cars

when i had open fire had free hot water could burn logs most free here in the country told us of a great heating air source like a large fan well hot water is £30 a month heating £ 45 a month when we first got it the heating come on and off by weather

When I was young father worked down the pit, free coal, fireplace had hot water
on one side and an oven on the other.

Now gas and electricity costs most of many workers wages.

If all the vehicles were taken off the road the Government would be broke.

ROAD TAX, MOT, FUEL TAX, REPAIR VAT, etc.

Any action we take will have no effect on the world situation just cause the ordinary people problems.

a real Tory man type are we Misty All reminds me down here     of our local female lord mare       (London type) as such. Spent mega millions putting in new bike paths for her general woke brigade, brigade here where cars once travelled. Who now basically don't ever use them in anyway shape or form etc in a bike sense & everywhere she goes everyday here for a coffee or the like, it's strangely always in a chauffeured driving limousine at the local rate payer's expense. As few parking stops left anywhere for those using their car as their main mode of transport when getting to work & looking to simply park it for the day because of her white elephant type bike paths unfortunately devouring our city here now    .

The nut cases here Knackered have filled our streets with SPEED BUMPS, our roads are littered with pot holes and the nut case in London has imposed stupid restrictions that are costing the working class thousands of pounds in fines based on climate change.

Private companies administer the fines and hand what is left after their take over to the idiot who has not got a clue about anything other than ruining the lives of the working class.

speed bumps been here for years, serve no purpose to the drivers it is aimed at, they still race down the road without a care ...... it is only the safe law abiding drivers who slow down, but they would have drove slow anyway .


as for pot holes misty, they are everywhere, people are under the impression our roads are maintained through car tax and the dvla ......... it isnt, the dvla does not pay any of this money to maintain the roads .

it is just another government tax on the driver .

thats the thing misty, there is no evidence to support it, only scientists funded by government who say what they are told to say ......... true scientists who have no government funding are blacklisted and named as cranks / conspiracy theorists

the government are aiming for carbon zero, but as you know if zero was ever achieved all plant life would die and the whole balance of nature would be altered , climate change is only about control and making money for the rich and powerful .

Same/similar down here also I'm   first here it was the 40/50 kmph scenario, then come the speed humps & then the cream on the cake type thing where nearly every road crossing local now has a round a bout attached. Just wish the clowns in charge as such would just stop having their little thought bubble type moments which achieve very little in the end on average, unless one is a tortoise      but sadly cost us simple peasants types millions in the end etc     in money terms & utter frustration.

What a great world we live in Our Sally Capp down here Lord mayor of London type thing, was the first female to hold the position here in 200 odd years in a local sense. She has done such a good job for the female side etc most locals here hope & pray now we never see another one like her for the next 200 odd years type thing Misty .

On a nicer note just about run out of a bag of 20kg Johnsons pea nuts and fat balls
be interesting to see how much they are now.

Stopped buying seed, too much rubbish in that the birds just throw out.

Also stopped feeding townies, they started leaving the wheat and barley both just husks.

Pet sea gull has returned and he eats anything.

Have two resident squirels and they sit and eat within a yard of the window then take a pea nut and bury it.

the problem i now have loads to do in garden and loft but find it hard to get started

just been in the loft had a up and over nest box front  what a job trying to get it out others were ok and it had to be the bottom one left it outside in the rain see if that helps think it has got too dry not doing anything for 2 years takes it toll
one hour in the rain door is sliding ok now

ive the loft floor to re cover, im buying some 6-8mm chipboard to cover the 18mm ply floor , i must do it the next couple of weeks before pairing up .

i have ply down David little water and it lifts

Strange how simple things Misty at times, can give certain folk so much pleasure as such your squirrels are my local finch/parrot brigade down here etc.

David I had chipboard flooring in my old loft, one thing I did before the birds went in was give it a good few coatings with watered down PVA glue, get it to soak right in . Lasted 20 years and was still in good nick when I sold the shed to a dog breeder.

Yes you're right knackered, youngsters now just want to go from trainee to manager without having to go through all the hands-dirty, knowledge building, learning on the job stuff that makes a successful tradesperson. More certificates and bits of paper to their name than spanners in their toolbox these days
