WHEN IS EVERYONE PAIRING UP

WHEN ARE YOU PAIRING UP AND HOW MUCH BIRDS ARE YOU BREEDING THIS NEXT YEAR

around about the 8th December for the stock birds

want about 50 youngsters for racing (30 non-darkness like this year but will be having a separate team of approx 20 on the dark purely for the later races and the NFC)

hoping to breed around 30 ish and have them on the dark........

will pair up boxing day as always

breeding 50 again all will be put on the dak exept for my distance pigeons

pairing up about jan 1st,breeding about 50 to 60 yb,s again and all on the dark as i did this for the first time this season and had good results taking 2 wins and 2 2nd,s

hoping to pair up around the last week in december and will be getting around 40 rings but dont intend to use them all.....maybe about 30 to 36 max.

iam getting a hundred rings

and will you be breeding 100 ybs ian ? all for yourself ?

thanks ian, id better get the extra loft built then before they come...... my thoughts are that if i get 40 rings ill be wanting to breed around 30 - 35/36 (ish) then by the time ive settled them and trained them i should have around 25 ish to send to the first race........hopefully.

hi ray, did you end the season with many ybs left ? or did you have to cut numbers down and get rid of some........or if you reduced the number of birds you are wintering did you get rid of older birds ? even tho ive only 24 pigeons i could have really got rid of almost half of them but ill see what they breed and how they race as ybs this coming season...

all my yb,s are getting raced next season bar one which i gave to phill the new member as i could,nt find a hen in my stock but its a good one its father won 2 races for me,the one i gave ian the other week.i had to cut down my old,uns to make room for them

glad you got it sorted john, the new boxes are looking very nice too. hope you breed plenty of winners in them this season.

i managed to get all birds paired up today ... with in a hour that is after a week of spliting boxes and then letting a pair out at a time today and got all done and settled in the boxes locked them in boxes over night then let all out tomoz and see wat happens
and put woodshaveing in the nest boxes ...
