Hi Peeps

What mix should i give to the pigeons that are racing up to 300 miles. I was told not to give much corn that is better for long distance.how long before race should i start using the short to mid mix.

Paul  Smile Smile Mijas costa etc "Where the hell is that"  lol! lol! lol! I would not attempt to tell you how to feed etc here. But !!!!!!!! surely you must know some good local flyers who could put you on the right track etc one would hope. My only bit of advise, would be to feed on the lean side of the scales  Wink  Wink etc if you have no interest in the longer races type of thing.  cheers

paul one thing to remember is not to be to rigid in your feed regime as weather plays its part ie headwind or tailwind ...hot or cold weather its all relevant

I think a good sport mix like a super widowhood will do ant birds well up to 250 miles without changing it much.
As long as you give some other feed like oil seeds. I think red and popcorn Maize added to any mix goes well and gives them more stamina for harder races, I give it before the mix so they all get it.
