Available here without a vet scrip. I have never used it. But again, it brings up the question if that is banned as a performance enhancer so should be baytril and another 30 or so supplements? Too fine a line to draw. Pigeons are not tested for substance abuse. If a fancier wants to win so badly, for glory or selling birds, then he/she will do whatever it takes. Just pointing this out. Never will be a level playing field unless a 100% of fanciers agree on it. However reality is, usually do not get two fanciers to agree on anything anyway. Heck club I was in 10 years ago did not allow fanciers to fly widowhood! Times change though. |

| Hi Pete ; I think over there England where they get longer day light has they race in the Summer ;the Dark System would be the go ;has to delay the Moult ; Over here we use the light system has we only get 11 to 12 hrs of sun light per day in our winter when we race ; we light the lofts up one hr early each morning ;& then put the light on for 2 to 3 hrs at night ; we hit on this system by chance has we had to work 10 to 12 hr days ;so we had to feed the birds by lights after we come home & before work in the mornings ; we started to realize the birds moulted faster doing this method ;then remembered the Chook Industy did this 40 years before to get the hens to lay more ;Interesting Stuff ;Our ist round which hatched in Late Oct& early Nov are on there last flight 1/2 grown; the normal day light birds have adleast 2 to3 to go at this stage . Cheers |
